Wadi Rum is a protected desert wilderness in southern Jordan. It is home to striking sandstone mountains like the multi-domed Jebel Um Ishrin and natural arches like the Burdah Stone Bridge. Many prehistoric inscriptions and carvings are found throughout rocky caves and steep cliffs, such as the Kazali Canyon.
The natural pool of Lawrence Springs is named after the British soldier Lawrence of Arabia, who is said to have bathed here.
