HolyLand Heritage Tour

Spend eight powerful days immersing yourself in the Holy Land, a multi-cultural center of history like: Caesarea-Haifa-Akko and religious sites . Itinerary

Day 1ARRIVAL TO TEL AVIV

Welcome to the Holy Land, upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv , After clearing Passport Control and collecting your luggage, Jerusalem Vacations’ representative will meet and assist you at the airport. Then drive to the legendary city of Jaffa to visit the Artists’ Quarters and St. Peter Monastery. Afterwards, a panoramic visit to Tel Aviv. We will visit Dizengoff Street, the Carmel Market, (flexible itinerary on this day depending on the flight arrival time).Dinner and overnight at Tel Aviv.

Day 2CAESAREA-HAIFA-AKKO (ACRE)-TIBERIAS

After breakfast, Drive north along the Mediterranean coast to Caesarea, where you’ll visit the ancient Roman ruins of Herod’s Harbor and the Roman Theater. It is one of the biggest amphitheaters built during the Roman era and used for chariot races and gladiator fights. Afterwards proceed to Haifa and enjoy a panoramic view of Haifa Bay, Bahai shrine and Persian Gardens. Continue to Akko (Acre) the Crusader city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with amazing food and bustling markets, we’ll visit the Old City, the Crusader Fortress. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.

Day 3BANIAS-NAZARETH-CANA

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure towards the beautiful Golan Heights, Visit the famous natural reserve of Banias, one of the Jordan River’s sources, where Phillip ;son of Herod, established the capital city for his kingdom on the Upper Galilee, drive back towards Nazareth, the place where Jesus spent his childhood. Main attraction is the Church of the Annunciation, believed to be where the angel Gabriel announced to Mary her pregnancy. Continue to the town of Cana, where Jesus performed his first miracle. He turned water into wine during a wedding. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias

Day 4SEA OF GALILEE – BAPTISMAL SITE – JERICHO - JERUSALEM

Breakfast and check-out from the hotel. Start the day with a beautiful boat ride in the Sea of Galilee. Stopping at sites that reflect the life and teachings of Jesus. The Mount of Beatitudes ; where the ceremony of the mount took place. Capernaum – where Jesus started his preaching, also sighting the old Synagogue and the House of St. Peter. And Tabgha the site of the miracle of the Fish and Loaves. Proceed to Yardenit, a traditional baptismal site of Jesus Christ on the Jordan River. Then Drive through the Jordan Valley, passing by Jericho, The oldest city in the world, See the Sycamore Tree and view Mount Temptation, Continue to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day 5JERUSALEM OLD CITY

Breakfast at the hotel. You will spend the whole day exploring the old city of Jerusalem, at the crossroads of different civilizations where you will come across remains of ancient mosaics and treasures from the Roman and Byzantine period, the Crusaders and the Ottoman Empire to name but a few. In the Old City, you will encounter Middle Eastern charm and be plunged into the souk’s picturesque alleys, which take you to the meeting places of the three major monotheistic religions. Visit the colorful bazaar in the Muslim quarter and see the Dome of the Rock, We’ll continue the tour Via Dolorosa (the “Way of Suffering”), starting with the first station at the Ecce Homo and the Chapel of Flagellation, and ending with the last station in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Continue through the Armenian and Jewish quarters to the recently excavated and restored Cardo, the Roman road to see the Wailing Wall: Also known as the Western Wall . Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

DAY 6MOUNT OF OLIVES – MOUNT ZION – BETHLEHEM

Breakfast at the hotel, Start the day with a panoramic view of Jerusalem from a top the Mt. of Olives. From there, proceed to Pater Noster Church where Jesus taught the Lord’s Prayer to His disciples, Through Palm Sunday Road, descend to the Gethsemane where you will see 2,000 year old Olive trees that date back to the time of Jesus. Then visit Mount Zion, The Tomb of King David, The Room of the Last Supper and Dormition Abbey. In the afternoon continue to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity, The birthplace of Jesus since the 2nd century. We’ll continue to Shepherds Field in Beit Sahour; where the angel Gabriel appeared to the shepherds and informed them of Jesus’ birth also the place mentioned in Ruth 2:2, where Ruth gleaned grain for herself and Naomi. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

DAY 7 DEAD SEA AREA

Breakfast at the hotel and enjoy your holy land tour to Masada, Ascend by cable car to the fortress, which was the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in their war against Roman Empire. Visit the excavations, Herod’s palaces, the synagogue, bathhouse and enjoy the breathtaking view of the Roman camps and the Dead Sea, Then proceed to visit Qumran, the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were written and discovered. Descend to enjoy swimming in the Dead Sea at 400 meters below sea level, The Dead Sea salty water is so rich in minerals that offers one of the most unique bathing and experiences on earth relaxation. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

DAY 8 DEPARTURE

We have reached our final day on this tour. Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Tel Aviv Airport for departure.
